Welcome to the unique and dynamic community of Temple Ner Tamid.  We are delighted to extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you.

Temple Ner Tamid is a welcoming, diverse, and musical Reform congregation located in Bloomfield, NJ, drawing members from Montclair, Glen Ridge, Bloomfield, West Orange and other Northern New Jersey communities.  For over 40 years, our members have been able to connect with their heritage while thinking progressively about the present.  The temple's mission is to inspire our members to make our community more curious, connected, and just.

All our work is done in concert to create and sustain a vibrant community. Our diverse congregation embraces the values of lifelong learning; inclusive, participatory and inspiring services; and repairing the world. As we learn and teach, live and pray together, we embrace each other and our Judaism with joy.

We at Temple Ner Tamid believe in enriching our lives through the active pursuit of learning, both as adults and as children. Our religious school, our Torah study, our opportunities for adult learning, and various other opportunities provide the entire family with exciting possibilities for deepening our knowledge of and love for things Jewish.  Our synagogue is not just a physical space; it is a spiritual home. It is a place where we can engage in prayer, engage in learning, and engage in acts of loving-kindness.  

In our continued effort to reach out and serve those who live in the greater Northern New Jersey area, we will actively be working on programs and possibilities for anyone interested in becoming a part of our family. We look forward to working together and to sharing the path towards a life of happiness, holiness, and fulfillment.
