RESTORE!

Connecting Hand to Heart BrochureDon’t miss out! Temple Ner Tamid has begun one of the most exciting projects in our history: to restore our aging Torah scrolls, and we need your help. Guided by the capable hands of our scribe, Linda Coppleson, faded portions of the Torah will be re-written, torn seams will be sewn, and the sacred parchment lovingly cleaned by hand.  (Linda is one of the few female scribes in the world.)

Children of all ages and adults are invited to scribe.  (Please disregard any earlier information indicating otherwise for young children).

Honor a friend, a loved one, your family, or yourself and complete one of the most exciting and meaningful mitzvot in our tradition. By sponsoring a part of the Torah restoration, you and your family will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help the scribe actually write in the Torah!

When you come to TNT for your private session with our scribe, you will also be invited to the social hall where you will enjoy fun activities and light refreshments.

Torah FormWe want 100% member participation, so print and complete THE DONATION FORM below and mail it to TNT with your donation!

RENEW!

Reading TorahIn this new Jewish year 5767, we invite you to have a hand in this sacred and important project. By sponsoring a part of the Torah restoration, you and your family will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help the scribe actually write at least one letter in the Torah! This deeply moving and satisfying experience will bring the vibrancy of our traditions and heritage right to your family’s fingertips.

REJOICE!

This year, our temple will be filled with “hands-on” celebrations, educational experiences for youngsters and adults, and scribing sessions. Only with your active participation and generous financial support will we be able to complete this necessary and vital mitzvah—the last of the 613 mitzvot—to help write a Torah.

RETURN!

Please complete the DONATION FORM and return it with your valued contribution in the enclosed envelope. Scribing in the Torah is a wonderful way to honor your family, remember loved ones, or mark a special occasion such as a Bar or Bat Mitzvah. We look forward to welcoming you and your family to the Torah! For more information, call the Temple office at (973) 338-1500.
