Shalom! You have been invited to a birthday party!  2008 is the 60th year of Israel’s statehood. Temple Ner Tamid will mark this occasion with a variety of stimulating events and educational programming for all ages throughout the year.  Young and old will be introduced to the land, its history, its people, its culture and its complexities through experiential workshops, lectures, entertainment, worship, re-enactments and trips. Temple members who have been to Israel will share their passion for it.  People who haven’t yet visited the Jewish homeland will get a taste of it.  Our celebration will culminate in a congregational trip to Israel in the summer of 2008.

We hope you will “go to the land” with us throughout the year. There is truly something for everyone.
