The Origins of the Covenant Circle
Temple Ner Tamid never turns anyone away due to an inability to pay some or all of their membership dues. Members come to us for dues relief when faced with personal challenges such as:
- Serious illness
- Physical or mental disability
- Job loss
- Personal tragedy
- Financial distress
In order to ensure our vibrant community of prayer, study, and social action is accessible to anyone, regardless of financial need, Ner Tamid provides dues relief anywhere between $80,000 to $110,000 annually.
Today Covenant Circle is underwritten by 25 families, but it falls far short of the total need. To date we have $55,000 underwritten by the generosity of these members.
How to Join the Covenant Circle
The Covenant Circle is a means for those who can contribute annually above and beyond dues and allow Ner Tamid to continue to never turn anyone away because of an inability to pay.
Please help us to sustain Ner Tamid’s inclusive policies by growing the Covenant Circle with your pledge of any of the following amounts per year for the next five years:
- Shalom - $ 900
- Simcha - $1800
- Kavod - $3600
- Beracha - $5400
Let us know that you are interested in joining the Covenant Circle and at what level, and you will be billed for that amount.
This is a commitment in principle to the Ner Tamid community – should your situation change over time, you are of course welcome to revisit your pledge.
Should you wish to join the Covenant Circle or if you have any questions, please contact Nina Tucker, VP Planning & Development at 973-783-1176 or email@example.com.
