Career Mentor Bank

GUIDING THE WAY---HELPING THE NEXT GENERATION

Dear Temple Ner Tamid Members,

Are you willing to meet with TNT members who are curious about your field of work and expertise? Or, are you interested in meeting with our team of mentors to help as you make a career change?

TNT members and their children can benefit from the Career Mentor Bank as they navigate through these important life decisions. We have compiled a list of 60 mentors for this launch with a vast array of education and experience across multiple industries. It’s a simple forty-five-minute dialogue over coffee or on the phone where mentors will share decisions they made to help establish their careers and offer insights based on your own experience.

Click here to see a list of members who have agreed to act as “Mentors”. You’ll find a brief description of each of our mentors. You can then look up individual member’s contact information with your temple login via the Member Portal.

This program was designed to help our congregation and our high school, college and post-college aged children and to assist those adults making career changes. When you think of it, TNT is a group of extremely accomplished people with careers in the arts, corporations, politics, television and media, health, finance, psychology, medicine, information technology, and law. Our members have an amazing store of life and work experience. We want to find out if we can harness that knowledge to help others.

What to expect

What we anticipate will happen is that a congregation member or child of a member will contact one of our Mentors and spend up to an hour asking questions such as do you like what you do, how did you get to where you are today, is what you do rewarding emotionally or financially and what would help me get there? This is not intended as a way to find a job, but as a way to shine a light on life’s sometimes difficult pathways. Should you have any specific or special concerns about the privacy of your situation, please be sure to mention it when you meet with your mentor.
