Pyramids, Camels and Figs, Oh My!

Our Synagogue is embarking on a great journey to explore and uncover the joy and mystery of our Torah. We are turning Temple Ner Tamid into a living and breathing Torah to be explored, and shared by all on May 20th beginning at 9AM.

Come join us!!

“Trek Thru Torah” is for our entire congregation – young, old and in-between. Together we will literally experience Torah. We will join together to learn what life was like for those whose courage, faith and conviction brought Judaism to life. We will meet those on whose shoulders we stand. As important, our community will come together as both the current and next generations of Jews who will carry the teachings and traditions of our people into the future. We will not only be telling the stories of the past but we will become part of the story itself.

We will also have a ton of fun as we re-create some of the most wonderful moments from Torah.  As with all things at Ner Tamid there will be food, music, costumes, and laughter.

On Sunday, May 20, 2012 we will meet with Abraham in his tent and all become members of one of the twelve tribes of Israel, cross the Red Sea with Nachshon and Miriam and stand at Sinai with Moses and the Israelites.  We will meet Aaron, Joshua and others and listen to Moses as he gives his farewell speech, gazing upon the Promised Land that he will never himself enter.

All of this and more will unfold on that Sunday morning, May 20th

Come join us and “Trek Thru Torah” with our community!!
